Newly Single Halle Berry Radiant at Charity Event

If she was mourning her breakup with Gabriel Aubry, Halle Berry certainly didn't look – or act – like it Saturday morning in New York City.

Out to co-host the 13th Annual EIF/Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Times Square with fellow Revlon Brand Ambassadors Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba, the newly single actress revved up the crowd with her energy and enthusiasm.

"I can't tell you how happy I am to be here," said Berry, 43, eliciting the loudest cheers from the crowd, who were walking to raise funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. "I am walking today on behalf of a friend of mine, Stephanie, who is fighting the fight every day. I feel you, I'm with you, and it's important that we're all here today."

While the news of her split from boyfriend of four years, Gabriel Aubry, 34, broke Friday, Berry avoided a formal appearance on the red carpet, instead choosing to make a more subtle entrance.

However, she looked radiant and in good spirits on stage and off, as she chatted and laughed with the event's co-chair, Lilly Tartikoff, and performer and R&B singer Trey Songz. She also happily posed with fans for pictures.
